Founded in 1994 by Denise Kemp, the Kingfishers Swim School offers swimming tuition to children aged 4m+, beginners to advanced. Lessons have been run at the King Edmund School by Denise Kemp since 1990. The swim school is a family run business with Denise, Sophie, Jordan and Hazel (ASA Level 2) running the majority of the lessons. The younger groups also have helpers in the water, namely young adults who have or have had lessons through the swim school and are invaluable members of our team.
Recently, Sophie began running the lessons on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Whereas Denise still runs the Tuesday and Wednesday classes. The swim schools work very closely together and follow the same curriculum.
